Many of our projects are initially funded with grants. Unfortunately, these generally do not cover maintenance costs. Trees, flowers and other plants need to be watered, weeded, fertilized, pruned, mulched and periodically replaced. In some cases, this includes rental of heavy machinery and external labor costs.
So we rely on Cambrians, both individuals and businesses, to help us keep these improvements to our little town looking as good as new!

Support Dark Skies
Light pollution – the inappropriate use of artificial light at night – is an environmental pollutant that harms us and our planet and robs us of the opportunity to experience the wonder of a natural night sky.
We are pursuing designation for Cambria as an International Dark Sky Community certified by the International Dark-Sky Association (IDA), the leading organization combating light pollution worldwide. IDA is the recognized authority for night sky protection and has taken the lead in identifying and publicizing the negative impacts of artificial light at night on human health, wildlife and the environment as a whole.

TRPRs are our Trash-Recycling-Planter Receptacles (more information here). We maintain the flowers with regular watering, pruning, fertilizing, mulching and replacement. It’s also necessary every 6 – 8 years to restain and reseal the wood frames, and make any repairs.
Cambrians and visitors alike enjoy these unique, beautiful trash thanks to the commitment and generosity of our neighbors and local businesses.
