Strolling and shopping Main Street is fun for visitors and locals alike.

But even the most dedicated strollers and shoppers appreciate a comfortable bench. Maybe dad has seen enough tchotchkes. Or maybe the kids are tired. Or the dog needs a rest and a drink. For all the reasons that benches are beloved, we decided to add more of them to Main Street.

But not just any benches! We wanted to showcase Cambria’s artistic talents.

All of the benches are designed and hand made by local artist Will Scroggins of Moonstone Redwood using the natural shapes found in downed wood. He works with the organic contours of the wood to create unique, sculptural benches that are not only beautiful but functional. 

Thanks to the Cambria Community Council for their $5,187 grant, which enabled us to commission three benches.  

We hope to add more as time and budget allow.
